Jenola I. Himes

Jenola I. Himes, age 88, of 195 Logan Ave., Sharon, PA died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 at 7:40 a.m. in her residence after a courageous, extended battle with cancer. She was born in Weldon, NC on April 1st, 1923, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth M. (Richards) Shaw. She had worked at the Marigold Restaurant in Sharon as a cook for several years. Jenola loved cooking, sewing, and going to yard sales. She enjoyed living life to the fullest and was of the Christian faith. She was the widow of William Franklin Himes who died on September 13, 2001. Her survivors include two daughters, Sandra Loosemore and Linda Mims and her husband William, all of Sharon, PA and two sons, Milo Shipp and his wife, Patricia of Sharon and Johnny Shipp and his wife, Tina of Farrell, PA along with her sister, Elizabeth Allen, of Virginia Beach, VA and 12 granchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death by four sisters. At her request, there will be no visitation but a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146. Cremation services provided by the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to S.R.H.S.
