Jennifer P. Cross, of 1420 Surrey Point Warren, OH, passed away at 5:15p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital, in Warren , after an extended illness. She was 73.
Jennifer was born in Altoona, PA on June 30, 1940, the daughter of the late Glenn and Thelma E. (Down) Peck. She was a 1957 graduate of Farrell (PA) High School and of the Trumbull Business College in 1979.
She had most recently worked as an antique dealer specializing in vintage costume jewelry. In her younger years, she had worked at the former W.T. Grant store in Hermitage, PA.
She was a member of the Animal Welfare League volunteering in it's gift shop. She delighted in all things young and innocent, including her dogs, Angel and Tina.. Jennifer loved to travel. She had been a member of the Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty twp., OH.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Cross, whom she married on June 22, 1984, along with a daughter, Julie Banicki and her husband, Allen, of Howland twp., OH, three sons, Charles Johnson Jr. and his wife, Paulla, of Fredonia, PA, Lucas McCartney and his life partner, Steve Lamp, of Niles, OH, and Jerry Shardy and his wife, Missy, of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, along with a sister, Elizabeth Peck and her life partner, Trish, of Indianapolis, IN, a brother, Glenn "Buzz" Peck and his wife, Berttie, of Bradenton, FL and her former husband, Charles S. Johnson Sr., of Greenville, PA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by and infant son, Robert Michael Johnson, a brother, William Peck, and her second husband, Paul Shardy.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, from noon till one p.m., at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with interment following the service at Morefield Cemetery in Hermitage, PA.
