Jennie Lou Brockway, of New Castle, PA, formerly of Hermitage, passed away on Wed., Feb. 10, 2016, at 3:20 a.m., in Silver Oaks Nursing Home, New Castle, PA, after an extended illness. She was 61.
She was born in Sharon, PA on April 27, 1954, the daughter of the late Leonard L. and Phyllis L. (Quinn) Bastide. Jennie was a 1974 graduate of Farrell High School.
She had worked as a waitress at the former Domenico's Restaurant in Hermitage, and also at the Sharon Country Club, and at the former New Villa Restaurant in Farrell. Jennie enjoyed playing bingo and traveling. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was the wife of Eric S. Brockway, who survives her in Hermitage. Also surviving are her son, Scott Wallace, of Hubbard, OH, her three grandchildren, and a sister, Phyllis Parkinson, and her husband, Dennis, of Brookfield, OH, and a favorite aunt, Doris Kloos, of Hermitage, PA. Several nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Darlene Hildebran, Janet Esmond, and Donna Bastide, and her brother, Leo Bastide.
