Janet E. Patton

Janet E. Patton, of Mercer, PA, formerly of Charlotte Ave., Hermitage, PA passed away on Saturday, July, 19, 2014 at 5:25 p.m. at Countryside Convalescent Home, in Mercer, PA after an extended illness. She was 96.
Janet was born in New Castle, PA on June 21, 1918, the daughter of the late John E. and Marion (Hawkins) McClintock. She was a 1935 graduate of New Castle High School. She had worked as a clerk at Social Security Administration for 20 years. In her younger years, Janet had worked at the former Lockley Machine Shop and the Shenango China, both in New Castle.
Janet had been a volunteer at the American Red Cross and for the S.R.H.S. Auxiliary, and for the SRHS Angel Fund. She was a member of the local chapter of AARP. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and visiting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Janet was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Jacqueline L. Kaufman, of New Wilmington, PA.
Robin L. Graham and her husband, Jim Evans,of Mercer, PA., 3 sons, Doug Patton and his wife, Susan, of Marco Island, FL., Michael Patton and his wife, Cindy, of Woodland, PA, and Scott Patton, and his wife, Beth, of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry W. Patton, who died on June 28, 1980 along with four brothers and three sisters.

At her request there will be no calling hours. Memorial Service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264, East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146. at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, July 26th, 2014 with Rev.
