James Patrick O'Brien

James Patrick O'Brien, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in UPMC Shenango Valley Hospital, Farrell, PA. He was 85 years old.

Born April 3, 1940, in Erie, PA, he was the son of the late James and Mary O'Brien.

He was married twice, his first wife Patricia Ann O'Brien, preceded him in death, April 7, 2021 and his second wife Betty Jones "B.J." Kimble, still survives in Buford, GA.

James was a graduate of Sharon High School and attended Youngstown State University. He worked as a project manager for Ryan Construction until his retirement in 2010. He also served his country honorably in both the US Marine Corp and the Coast Guard.

He liked to golf and was a member of the American Legion in Sharon, PA.

Surviving are two sons, Aaron P. and Scott O'Brien both of Sharon, PA.

There are no services scheduled at this time, but a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
