James L. "Jimmy" Black Jr.

James L. ( Jimmy ) Black Jr., age 56 of Sharon, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born August 24, 1962 in Peru Indiana, he was the son of the late James L. Sr.,and Eva Mae Porterfield Black. He married the former Bennae Raymer on May 21, 2011 and she survives at home.

Jimmy was a 1981 graduate of Sharon High School and worked as a Truck Driver for Dick Lavy Trucking and several other trucking companies throughout his career.He was a member of the Unique Trio bowling league.

He is survived by three step-daughters, Jessica and her husband Jason Start of Highpoint North Carolina, Joyce Olshavsky of Sharon PA and Barbara and her husband Charles Croft of Macclenny Florida, two brothers Rusty Mitchell and Pete Black, both of Sharon PA and a sister Sue and her husband Brian Lutton of Sharon PA, survived also by four grandchildren, Andrew Brown, Jeffery Brown, Devan Baumgartner and Isabelle Burnsed.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph and Chet Black and a step-grandson Oakley Burnsed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon PA, a funeral service will be held immediately following at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Doug Dyson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
