James Fakinos

James Fakinos, of 334 Baldwin Ave., Sharon, PA passed away at 11:30 p.m. , Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Sharon Regional Health System. He was 81
Mr. Fakinos was born in Farrell, PA on February 17, 1933, the son of the late Nick and Georgia (Pitsos) Fakinos. He served his country with the U.S. Airforce during the mid 1950's. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Farrell, PA.
James had worked as a laborer at the former Sawhill Tubular Products in Sharon., for 38 years.He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved spending time with his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren.
He is the husband of Angeliki (Sotus) Fakinos. whom he married in April of 1955. She was his wife for 59 years and survives him at home. Also surviving are his two daughters, Alexandria Sibeto and her husband John, of New Castle, PA, and Niki Franek and her husband, John, of Sharon, PA along with his grandchildren, Jimmy, Anna, Christopher, and Angelina, and his sister, Frances Mastorides and her husband, Tykie, of Clearwater, FL. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lou Fatimus.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday , May 13, 2014 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146 with Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m..
Funeral service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church,1007 Washington St. Farrell, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14th, with Rev. Spiro W. Kehayes officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
