Helen L. Truchan, 94, of 959 East State St. Sharon, formerly of McDowell Manor, Perrell Dr., Sharon, PA, passed away peacefully on Sat. , Aug. 16, 2014 at 9:05 p.m., at Clepper Manor in Sharon after an extended illness. She was 94..
Mrs. Truchan was born in Spangler, , PA on January 7, 1920, the daughter of the late Stephen and Theresa (Panko) Yanek.She was a 1938 graduate of Pine twp. High School
She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church Hermitage, PA 16148., where she had been a member of the Senior Saints group.
Helen enjoyed attending the Senior Fellowship Group on Friday's at The Salvation Army of Sharon, reading the Bible, flower gardening and spending time with her family..

She was the widow of Thomas E. Truchan. who died on 4/21/1973. She is survived by her daughter,: Patricia Hill of Tiffin, OH. and her sons, Edward T. Truchan, and his wife, Carol, of Hermitage, PA., John Truchan and his wife, Karen, of Mercer, PA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great- grandchildren.. Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Calling Hours will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 4-7:00p.m.. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home , 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146 and on Thursday , August 21, 2014 from 10-11::00A.M. at Sharon Baptist Church. .
