Helen Kowalsky

Helen Kowalsky, age 82, of Mercer, PA., formerly of Masury, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at 2:34 a.m. in Avalon Springs Nursing Home, in Mercer, PA after an extended illness.

Helen was born in Sharon, PA on September 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Popa) Bonekovic. She was a graduate of Hickory High School. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a loving mother and grandmother and a good friend to all who knew her. She was of the Catholic faith.

Her survivors include her daughters, Delores Carbo of Port Orange, FL, Shirley Marshall of Jacksonville, FL, Helen Marie of Florida, Arlene Swiger of Meadville,PA, and her son, Anthony M. Carbo of Greenville, PA.She is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, Hermitage, PA. with Father Casimir Bogniak of St. Joseph's Church of Sharon officiating. Entombment in St. Rose Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
