Helena A. "Helen" Fragle,, a resident of Trinty Living Center ,of Grove City, formerly of Sharon, PA passed away peacefully at Grove City Medical Center, on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at 8:38 a.m. after an extended illness. She was 89.
Helen was born in Sharon, PA on April 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Stephan Z. and Ann (Holup) Lucas. She attended Sharon Schools growing up and was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart Sharon, PA. She had worked as a salesperson at The Winner womens clothing store in Sharon., for 13 years.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Australia five times, when her son was living there. Helen loved cooking Russian and Italian food, attending Tai-chi classes at the Shenango Valley Senior Center,and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy.
Helen was the widow of Frank J. Fragle. whom she married on Sept. 5, 1942. He died on August 9, 1974.
She is survived by two daughters, Alicia Joy Berns and her husband, Norman, of Minneapolis, MN., Francine Ann DiNardo and her husband, Richard, of Mercer, PA, and her son, Frank A. Fragale and his wife, Anna, of St. Louis, MO., along with her three grandchildren, Mark DiNardo and his wife, Kelly, Mellissa Schaffert and husband, Mark, and Ella Fragale. and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan DiNardo, and Lucas and Von Schaffert. Also survivng is a brother-in-law, Alfred Fragle and his wife, Edith, of Hermitage, PA. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death by her 5 sisters, Anna Janosic, Katherine Penick, Mary Chovan, Martha Rossi, and Suzanne Rickert, along with her 5 brothers, John, Stephan, Nick, George, and Walter Lucas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Sharon with Rev. Jeffrey Lucas officiating. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, in Hermitage PA.
