Harriett G. Lloyd

Harriett G. Lloyd, of  Indiana, PA, formerly of Logan Avernue in Sharon, PA , passed away peacefully at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014,  in Indian Haven, Indiana, PA, after an extended illness. She was 102.  She had moved to Indiana seven years ago to be closer to her family.
Harriett was born in Sharon, PA on November 1, 1911, the daughter of the late George and Betty (Shuttleworth) Godfrey. She was a 1928 graduate of Sharon High School.
Harriett enjoyed knitting,and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family and was a very devoted  wife, mother, and grandmother. While living in Sharon, she was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sharpsville.
She was the widow of Robert  Lloyd. whom she married on Dec. 12, 1931. He died in 1977.  Harriett is survived by her daughter,  Marianne Marshall of Murrells Inlet, SC.and two sons,  Dr. Robert I. Lloyd and his wife, Linda,  of Indiana, PA., William D. Lloyd  and his wife, Mary Ann, of Wilsonville, OR.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Beisdes her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard D. Lloyd and her three brothers, Ira M., Donald A., and Fay M. Godfrey .
Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
At her request there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at the Sharpsville Church of the Nazarene, 804 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, PA 16150, on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00p.m., with Rev. Leonard Powell officiating. . Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
