Harriet Elizabeth Pickens Mlekush

Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth Pickens Mlekush, 92, of 500 Clarksville Rd. Hermitage, formerly of Phoenix, AZ, died peacefully Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11:50 a.m. at Nugent Convalescent Home in Hermitage. She was born in New Castle, PA on January 23, 1919, the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Jones) Inglis. Growing up, she had attended Sharon Schools.
She was a former member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Sharon. She had worked as a waitress at Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona., for over 20 years. In her younger years, she had worked at the former W.T. Grant Store in Hermitage, PA.
Harriet enjoyed watching professional wrestling and going to casinos when she lived in Phoenix. She was a member of the Women of the Moose of Greenville, PA.
She was the widow of Frank Mlekush. who is deceased. Also deceased is her first husband, George A. Pickens Sr. She is survived by her four sons, George A. Pickens Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Sharon, PA., Charles J. Pickens Sr.and his wife Jody, of Arlington, WA., Daniel L. Pickens of Phoenix, AZ., William P. Pickens and his wife Kathy of Snohomish County, WA. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her son, Ralph R. Pickens.

At her request, there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will take place at the convenience of the family at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
