Glennis "Diane" Black

Glennis "Diane" Black, of Sharon, PA, passed away in her home. on Monday evening, Aug. 31, 2015 after an extended illness. She was 73.
Diane was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on December 10, 1941, the daughter of the late George A. and Glennis (Meade) Smith. She was a 1960 graduate of Edgewater High School in Orlando, FL.
Diane enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was the wife of Melvin E. Black., whom she married on January 6, 1962. He survives her at home. She is also survived by her four sons, Robert Black, and his wife, Brenda, of Sharon, PA, David Black and his wife, Mary, of Sharon., PA, Eric Black, and his wife Dani, of Warren, OH, and John Black, and his wife, Dawn, also of Sharon, PA, along with 7 grandchildren, twins, Kamala & Keeley Black, Mackenzie Bittler, Nicole Unrue, Derek, Kyle, and Jamie Black and 3 great-grandchildren, Jordon, Cameron, and Carson.
At her request there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5th, 2015 with Rev. David Anderson, Chaplain of SRHS Hospice & Palliative Care officiating. Inurnment at Westmoreland Co. Cemetery Greensburg, PA.
