George Raymond Porter

George Raymond Porter, age 64, of Sharon, PA, passed away peacefully at at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Saturday June 28th, 2025 with his loving family by his side after a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis. George was born on July 14, 1960, in Sharon, PA, to Claire and Lucy (Ranelli) Porter.


George grew up in the neighborhood of Sharon and was a 1979 graduate of Sharon Senior High School.


He was an exceptionally talented and gifted builder and carpenter most of his adult life as well as a machinist at Ilsco Extrusion Inc. in Greenville the last 10 years of his working career.


George enjoyed working on building model trains with his children, carpentry, camping trips, traveling, and spending as much quality time with his family as possible.


George married his beautiful Bride Lisa (Dingess) Porter on July 24, 2010. In addition to his beloved wife of 14 years, he is survived by a remarkable legacy of seven children: Ryan Carreira-Porter and his husband Raymond, Oshkosh, WI; Denise LaPage and her husband Dave, Neenah, WI; as well as five amazing & wonderful children at home: Shawn, Sabrina, Chloe, Veronica and Bobby Porter of Sharon. He is also survived by four remarkable grandchildren: Alec Rehorst, Neenah, WI; William and Noah Porter, Oshkosh, WI; and Gryffon Schultz, Green Bay, WI.  He is also survived by five brothers and sisters: Richard Porter and his wife Fran, Sharon; Marilyn Amon, Hermitage, Linda Miklos and her husband Ron, Sharpsville; Luann Thull and her husband Greg, Winneconne, WI; and Raymond Porter and his wife Kay, Maricopa AZ.


He is preseeded in Death by his Parents - Claire and Lucy (Ranelli) Porter.
In-Laws - Bobby and Debra (Allison) Sanson. As well as many Nieces and Nephews.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetary, Hermitage following the showing. 07/01/25.
