Gail V. Ivey, age 77, of Farrell, PA, went home to be with her lord and savior, on Thursday, august 20, 2026, in Youngstown, Ohio.
Born October 13, 1948, in McKees Rocks, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Conyers and Ruth (Hubbard) Askerneese. She married Marvin Ivey on August 28, 1971, and he survives at home.
Gail graduated from Sharon High School and worked several jobs through out her life, including being a Monitor for Student Transportation of America, a clerk for both Goodwill and Hills Department Store and a laborer for Westinghouse in Sharon, PA.
She was a member of the former Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was usher and sang in the choir, she was also affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Farrell. Gail liked to cook, was very particular about doing her hair, nails and make-up and loved being around her grand kids.
Surviving is a son, Adrian J. Ivey Sr. and his wife Bonita, of Farrell, PA, a sister, Patricia Wallace, of Farrell, PA, ten grandchildren, Destiny, Breonica, Jaxavier, Levi, Maddyson, Jashe’, Jayden, Marvin, Adrian Jr. and Blue and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a daughter Marletta Ivey, a son Marvin Ivey, two brothers, Larry and Randall Conyers and a sister Ruth Young.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon New Castle Road, Farrell, PA, 16121. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church with Pastor T. James Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Morefield Cemetery.0
Arrangements are being handled by the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146.
