Fern L. Bilunka, age 86, of Middletown, Ohio, formerly of Sharon, PA died peacefully on Monday morning, August 29, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born in Jefferson twp., Mercer County, Pa on November 9, 1924, the daughter ofthe late Frank and Cora (Wilson) Cousins. She was a 1943 graduate of Mercer High School. She was the widow of Paul Bilunka, whom she married on August 19, 1950. He died on August 24, 1985. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon for over 50 years where she had been a member of the Chancel Choir, the Presbyteers Sunday School Class, the Lydia Circle and had helped with the Youth Group for several years. Fern attended the Senior Fellowship Group of the Salvation Army in Sharon. In her younger ears she had served as President of the former Wengler School PTO. She enjoyed playing euchre, reading, and spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Paul H. Bilunka and his wife Linda, of Middletown, OH and Anthony Bilunka and his wife Deidre of Dumont, CO, eight grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Sara Crawford, of Hermitage, PA and three brothers, Chester Cousins and his wife, Mae, of Mercer, PA, James Cousins and his wife Doris, Of Jamestown, PA and Jerry Cousins and his wife Bonnie, of Sharpsville, PA. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death by a sister, Helen Campbell and two brothers, Robert and Weldon Cousins. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Hopkins, retired Presbyterian minister officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage, PA
