Emily M. Shelley

Emily M. Shelley, of Hudson, OH, formerly of Hall Ave., Sharon, PA, passed away on  Sat., Feb. 17, 2018, in the emergency room of Cleveland Clinic at their Twinsburg location after a brief illness.She was 97.
Emily was born in Yorkshire , England on December 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Henry and Sara (Reed) Tuck. She graduated from Hubbard High School and then later from the former Buhl School of Nursing.
She had worked as a nurse at at the former Sharon Steel Sharon, PA., for 10 years. Previously, she had also worked at the former Westinghouse plant and was also a head nurse at the former Buhl Hospital.
Emily enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading. She had been a member of the Retired Nurses Association of Sharon. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. While living in this area, Emily attended Covenant Presbyterian Church.
On Feb. 26, 1952, She married Rollin D. Shelley. He passed away on Dec. 8, 1987.  She is survived by her daughter,  Anita Mackin & her fiance' Kevin Biro, of Hudson, OH, her 3 grandchildren, Melanie, Michelle, and Ian, along with five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Sally and her brother, Kenneth, both of Yorkshire, England. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth and Rose and a brother James.
