Elizabeth M. Rongo, age 94, of John XXIII Home in Hermitage, PA but formerly of Memorial Drive in Farrell, PA died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 12:45 p.m. in Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. Mrs. Rongo was born in Sharon, PA on January 4, 1917, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Klingle) Keifer. She was a 1935 graduate of Farrell High School and later married Arthur Rongo on July 26, 1941. He died on April 17, 1988. She had worked as a salesperson and bookeeper for several years at her husband's business, the former Campus Shop in downtown Sharon. In her younger years, she had worked at her father's business in Farrell, PA , the former Keifer Beer Distributors. Elizabeth was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church in Farrell. She was a former member of the Tuesday morning Ladies Bowling League at 10 pin Alley and the Notre Dame Ladies Golf League and was a volunteer at the the Stey-Nevant Library in Farrell and for SRHS Auxillary. Elizabeth loved to sew, read, dance and spend time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela St. Clair, of Pittsburgh, PA and two sons, John M. Rongo and his wife Sandie, of Hubbard, OH and Mark A. Rongo and his wife, Yolanda, of Columbus, OH and two grandchildren, Cory and Alexis Rongo. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death by her sister, Anne Bacon, and her three brothers, Frank, John, and Casper Keifer. Friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 18,2011 from 5:00 till 7:00p.m. at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, PA 16121, with Rev. Donald Berdis officiating. Interment will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Hermitage, PA.
