Elizabeth "Betty" Reyer

Elizabeth "Betty" Reyer, of Sharon, passed away peacefully, on Thurs., Jan. 17, 2015, at 11:20 p.m., at Clepper Manor in Sharon, after an extended illness. She was 99.
Betty was born in Sharon, PA on September 10, 1915, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Sarver) Clepper. She was a graduate of Sharon High School and went on to college and taught French in Europe for a time in her younger years.
She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon, PA, where she had taught the former Rho Sigma Sunday School Class and participated in the former Senior Fellowship group.
Betty was a member of the area College Club, and loved gardening, playing the piano, and baking. She liked nature and traveling with her family to Cook's Forest. She was an avid golfer , playing especially at the former Sharon Country Club, where she had been a member.
She was the widow of Dr. William A. Reyer. who died 43 years ago. She is survived by her son: William E. Reyer of Sharon, PA and by her brother -in-law, Dr. John "Jack" Reyer and his wife, Meg, of Hermitage, PA along with a close family friend, Thomas Mack and his wife, Debbie, and their son, Ryan Mack, of Hermitage, PA.
Donations in her memory may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
At the family's request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA.16146, at 11:00a.m., on Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 with Pastor Chris D. Wright of Faith on 68, Rochester,PA officiating.
