Elizabeth "Dolly" Achenbach, of Hermitage, PA, passed away peacefully in UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA, on Friday, May 15, 2015, at 3:31 p.m. , after a brief illness. She was 84.
Dolly was born in Sharon, PA on March 13, 1931, the daughter of the late Alexander and Helen (Toten) Visnyai. She was a 1949 graduate of Sharon High School.
She was a member of the former Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, where she had been a member of the Golden Circle group.
Dolly had worked as a salesclerk at the GNC Store, Shenango Valley Mall.. Previously, she had worked in the office at the former Bolotin's furniture store in Hermitage.
Dolly had been a member of the Football Mothers group of Sharon High School when her sons were in high school. She truly enjoyed cooking, baking, cake decorating, and family dinners.
She was the widow of Kenneth K. Achenbach. whom she married on April 28, 1950, in the former Magyal Hungarian Church in Farrell. He died on Dec. 9, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Lapka, and her husband, Bruce, of Sharon, PA, two sons, Kenneth R. Achenbach and his wife, Tina, of Meadville, PA, Keith Achenbach, and his wife, Kimberly, of Hartville, OH, four grandchildren, Ryan Rotuna and his wife, Kristy, Kenneth M. Achenbach and Sarah Smith, Christopher Achenbach and Emily Mosbacher, and Amy Achenbach, and three great grandsons, Alex and Nicky Rotuna, and Kenneth "KJ" Achenbach. She is also survived by her two brothers, Alexander Visnyai , and his wife, JoAnn, of Elyria, OH, and Frank Visnyai, and his wife, Joan, of The Villages, FL.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m., at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20th, with Pastor Bruce Rosa Assistant Pastor of the 1st Baptist Church of Sharpsville officiating.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Sharon, PA.
