Eleanor I Gordon

Eleanor I. Gordon, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at 2:35 p.m. at the home of her daughter in Pfafftown, NC, after a brief illness. She was 86.
Eleanor was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth (Otte) Imbusch. She was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School and the Buffalo Institute of Art. She attended Covenant Presbyterian Church Sharon, PA.
Being an artist, she loved to paint, do quiliting, crosstitching, knitting and crafts. Eleanor was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Eleanor was the widower of William Scott "Red" Gordon. whom she married on Oct. 7, 1950. He died on Aug. 18, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Hodge, and her husband, David, of Pfafftown, NC., two grandsons, Wes and Max Hodge, a granddaughter, Ellie Hodge, along with her sister, Thelma Harnack of Pittsburgh, PA. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Chester.

Friends are invited to call Saturday , Feb. 21, 2015, from10:30-11:30 a.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21st, with Rev. Jason Minter of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment at Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
