Edward J. Perdian

Edward J. Perdian, age 79, of Hermitage, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, PA.

Born August 19, 1946, in Sharon, PA, the son of the late Frank and Sophie (Golembiewski) Perdian. He married the former Kathryn Pustinger on December 29, 1971, and she survives in Hermitage.

Edward was a 1964 graduate of Farrell High School and served his country honorably in the Navy, during the Vietnam War. He returned home and attended Youngstown State University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree, majoring in finance.

He went to work for the state of Pennsylvania, working for both the Department of Public Welfare and the Department of Labor and Industry for thirty plus years until his retirement in 2011.

In his spare time, Edward enjoyed reading, writing, walking, biking and camping. He was a member of the former St. Adalbert's Church and Our Lady of Fatima Church, the Farrell VFW and a writing club at the library. He was extremely proud of his Polish heritage.

He is survived by a daughter Brenda (Don) Davis, of Punxsutawney, PA, two sons, David (Kim) Perdian, of Boca Raton, FL, and Thomas (Paige) Perdian, of Butler, PA, a sister, Joan Leeworthy, of Warren, OH, and six grandchildren, Molly and Don Davis of, Punxsutawney, PA, Madeleine and Lincoln Perdian, of Boca Raton, FL, and Jude and Evelyn Perdian, of Butler, PA.

In addition, to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Stella Kajma, who helped to raise him.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, with Fr. Frank DiCristina officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Wheatland American Legion and W. Middlesex VFW Honor guard.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
