Dorothy Kathryn Testani Schmidt, of Sharon, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 6:10 p.m. in Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 79.
She was born in Allegheny twp., PA, on July 2, 1935, the daughter of the late C. Leonard and Etta (Daniels) Hinkle.
Dorothy had worked as a secretary at the former Virostic Moving Co. in Sharon, PA., for several years. Previously, she had worked at 1st National Bank and at the former Sharon Stationery, both in Sharon.
She was a member of and was treasurer of the Saxon Club of Farrell, and was a member of the UPMC Horizon Hospital Auxillary for several years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and spending time with her family. Dorothy was of the Protestant faith.
She was the widow of John M. Schmidt. whom she married on Aug. 9, 1983. He died on Jan. 20, 2009. Her first husband, Frank Testani, died on Dec. 14, 1982. She is survived her daughters, Jo Ann Testani of Farrell, PA, Paula Fennell, and her husband, Perry, and Kathy Testani , both of Sharon, PA, along with her sons, Frank Testani III and his wife, Rita, of Sharon, PA, and Bruce Testani, and his fiance', Deborah Dotson, of Transfer, PA along with her two step-daughters, Martha Clark and her husband, Jim, of Sharpsville, PA., Teresa Cave and her companion, Tom Dill, of Sharon, PA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren and her sister, Hazel Davis, of Vandergrift, PA. Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her 5 brothers, Francis, Edward, William, John, and Clair Hinkle, and her grandson, John Robert Fennell.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26th, with Rev. Jason Minter of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon, officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park Hermitage, PA.
