Mrs. Dorothy Plance, age 91, of Sharon, PA , but formerly of Weirton, WV, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, on August 25, 2011 at 10:40 a.m. at O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center in Masury, Ohio. Mrs. Plance was born in Cuddy, PA on October 17, 1919, the daughter of the late Michael and Lottie (Farkas) Ewaskey. She was a member of the Werton Heights Memorial Baptist Church for over 50 years where her and her husband had been very active in their younger years. She was a charter member of the Hancock County Sportsman Club in West Virginia where she was on the kitchen committee having helped at many fundraising eventsfor the club. Dororhty liked to go on motorcycle rideswith her husband on their Harley along with crocheting, quilting, camping, fishing, playing cards and reading. She was the widow of George Plance, whom she married on June 2, 1937. He died on May 13, 1998. Her survivors include 3 daughters, Frances L. Sloan and Roberta J. Porterfield and her husband Robert,all of Sharon, PA and Edna M.Davis and her husband , Dennis, of Andover, OH along with two sons, George Plance and his wife ,Mary Ann, of Gainesville, FL and Arthur Plance of Sharon, PA. Also surviving are her sister, Eva Murdacca and her husband, Bruno of Carnegie, PA and her brother, Edward Ewaskey and his wife, Ruth, of Bridgeville, PA along with 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death her son Michael Plance and by 3 sisters, Theresa Larch, Elizabeth Ostrowski, Marcella Norris, and an infant brother and other brothers, Michael, Joseph, William, Leonard and Raymond Ewaskey. At her request, there will be no visitation, A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 31,2011 at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146. with Rev. William C. Stout officiating. A commital service(open to friends and family to attend) will take place at
