Dorothy J. Morris, of 500 Clarksville Rd., Hermitage, PA, formerly of Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at 12:25 p.m. at Nugent Convalescent Home in Hermitage after an extended illness. She was 87.
Dorothy was born in Sharon, PA on June 28, 1926, the daughter of the late John W. Jr. and June P. (Smith) Morris . She was a 1944 graduate of Sharon High School. She had worked in the photographic department at former Westinghouse plant in Sharon, PA., retiring in 1983.
Dorothy had been a member of the Westinghouse Retirees Association. Being an avid bowler, she was Past-President and Past Secretary of the Junior Bowling Association of Mercer County and it's Hall of Fame. She enjoyed playing cards. She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her son, Kevin L. Morris and his wife, Sharon, of Windsor, VA., A grandson, Shawn Morris and his wife, Cheryl, of Newport News, VA, a granddaughter, Stephanie Eckes and her husband, Frank, of Chesapeake, VA along with two great grandchildren, Paige and Anthony Eckes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Pete, Robert, Jackie, and Bill Morris.

Memorial Service will be held at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30th, 2013, with Rev. John Trojak of the 1st Baptist Church officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage.
