Dorothy Rose "Dottie" Bonta, of 746 Theresa Ave. Hermitage,PA passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at 8:20 p.m. in UPMC Horizon Hospital in Farrell, after an extended illness. She was 83.
Dottie was born in Huntingdon, PA on March 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Allen S. and Mary D. (Heck) Wilson. She attended Sharon Schools.She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church In Sharon., for over 60 years where she had been a Sunday school teacher in earlier years.
Dottie had worked as a pharmacy tech at at the former Greenwood Pharmacy in Hermitage., for for 20 years retiring in 1992. During the 1960's, she was the manager of the former Stafford's Cleaners in Sharpsville. She had also worked at the Sharon Transformer Divison of Westinghouse in Sharon.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose of Farrell ,and of the B.P.O.E. #103 of Sharon, the Ladies Auxlliary of the Sharon American Legion Post 299,and a soclal member of the Croation Home in Farrell. Being an avid card player, she loved to play euchre, play bingo,and take trips to casinos with her family.
Dottie was the loving wife of Nick Bonta, whom she married on June 20, 1947. He survives at home.
Her family includes two daughters, Cindy L. Nicoloff and her husband, David and Linda S. Comninos and her husband, John , all of Hermitage,PA. , her grandchildren, Leisa, and her husband Tim Conlin, Dr. John Comninos, Danielle Fahy and her husband, Michael, Stephen Comninos and his companion, Misha Wingard,
and his twin , Melissa Faylo and her husband, Sam, Jason Nicoloff, Jennifer Nicoloff and her fiance' Matt Kiggins, and Natalie Nicoloff, along with her great-grandchildren, Jessica Conlin, Anna Rose and Addison Nicole Fahy and Samuel Elliot Faylo. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Helen Tizio, of Hermitage, PA along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceeded in death by her grandaughter, Nicole Marie Comninos, a brother, John Wilson, and her loving dog, Gigi.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, November 6th, with Rev. Christopher Mathewson of Covenant Presbyterian Church and Rev. Dr. Joseph Hopkins, retired Presbyterian Minister, officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
