Doris J Templeton

Doris J. Templeton, of Hermitage, PA, formerly of Columbia St., Sharon, passed away peacefully on Sat., Aug. 6, 2016 at 6:10 p.m. in UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA, after an extended illness. She was 82.
Doris was born in Hermitage, PA on September 11, 1933, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Mae (Holzapfel) Shaffer. She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1951.
She had worked as a billing clerk at Greenwood Pharmacy in Sharon, PA. Previously, she had worked at the former Ames Department Store in Hermitage for 18 years.
Doris enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Oakland Ave. Methodist Church in Sharon.
She is survived by her two daughters, Crystal Griffith, of Wilmington, NC and Carol Bukovinski and her husband, Jack, of S. Pymatuning twp., PA along with four grandchilren, eight great-grand-children, and one great-great- granddaughter. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Cathy Shaffer, of San Diego, CA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert C. Templeton Jr. who died on Aug. 28, 1980, and her two sisters, Marcella Zabych and Shirley Stambaugh, and her two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Shaffer.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11th, with Rev. Charles Eckles of IHS Gospel Ministries in Hermitage officiating. Interment at America's Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
