Donna Root

Donna Root passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2025, after an extended illness. Donna was born to John and Dorothy Nejbauer on December 14, 1959, in Ashtabula, Ohio. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Donna also enjoyed shooting pool and watching Nascar races. Donna was a devoted friend, as well as employee, working for Pic Electric, Inc. for nearly 25 years.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life, Russell, whom she married on September 1, 2005; her daughter Kertyssa (Tia) Smalls;  her granddaughter Everly; a stepson, Keith Austin Jr.; two brothers Ron and Ken Nejbauer; a sister, Carole Lane; close companions Barb and Jim Hardesty; and a host of family and friends.

At Donna's request, there will be no services. Instead, the family asks that those so inclined donate in her name to the American Cancer Society.
