Donald Rudolph Reed

Donald Rudolph Reed, of 283 Grant St., Sharon, PA, passed away on Saturday. Aug. 31, 2013, at 9:15 p.m. in Countryside Convalescent Home, in Mercer, PA after an extended illness. He was 80.
Mr. Reed was born in Clymer, PA on October 26, 1932. He had worked as a dishwasher at former Sharon Country Club. He had also worked at the former Pastabilities restaurant in Sharpsville, PA. He enjoyed woodworking ,fixing things, and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Marie (Clark) Reed. whom he married on April 3, 1980. Also surviving are 5 stepsons, John McKendrick of Sharon, PA., Randy McKendrick and his wife Jill, of Blairsville, PA., Robert McKendrick of Sharon, PA., Steve McKendrick and his wife, Danielle, and Tracy McKendrick and his wife, Danielle, all of Sharon, PA along with 2 sisters, Ruth Ann Good of Clymer, PA and Shirley Griffin, of Carlisle, PA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
At his request there will be no calling hours. or services. Cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements by the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
