Dolores T. Maxfield

Dolores T. "Dee" Stoner Maxfield, age 86; went to be with her Lord on Christmas Eve, in Sharon Regional Hospital with her daughter, Gwendolyn at her side. Born May 18, 1932 in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Stella Cooper Stoner. She married Robert E. Maxfield, on September 20, 1952 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 1987.

Dolores was a 1950 graduate of Butler High School and worked for the Sharon School District in the cafeteria for 23 years before retiring. Dee liked to bake and sew and was very active in her church. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Hermitage, PA, where she was very involved in many church activities:, She was a Deacon Emeritus and a Prayer Partner with the Monday morning prayer group,

She is survived by two daughters Pamela Maxfield-Ontko and her husband Michael of Coshocton, OH, and Gwendolyn Maxfield of Sharon, PA, one son Thomas and his wife Keri Maxfield of Hellertown, PA, and a sister Charlotte Broderick of Zelienople, PA. She is also survived by a grand-puppy, Hollyhock. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews whom she adored and many very special church friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Central Christian Church, Hermitage, Pa. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm from the church with the Rev. Lew Voisey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township.
