Della Mae Meckler

Della Mae Meckler, of 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA, formerly of Wheatland and Sharon, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 6:45 a.m. in Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. She was 90.
She was born in West Middlesex, PA on July 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Ralph and Minnie L. (Uber) Arbuckle. She was a 1941 graduate of Sharon High School and was a lifetime member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sharon.
Della had worked as a regional supervisor for at the former Greenthumb Program here in the area for 18 years .Della was Past President of the Shenango Valley VFW Women's Auxillary. She enjoyed painting and music.
She was the widow of George D. Meckler. who passed away in 1989. Her surivors include two daughters, Nancy Beck and her husband, John of Mercer, PA,Kathleen Wedlake and her husband, David, of Greenville, PA, sons, Joseph Meckler of Orange Park, FL, Mont Meckler of Indiana., George Meckler of Masury, OH, a daughter-in-law, Ginger Meckler of Newton Falls, OH and a sister-in-law, Alice Cornelious, of Sharon, PA.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Besides her parents, a step-father, and her husband, she was preceeded in death by a son, a grandson, a sister, three brothers, and a sister in law.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service at St. John's Episcopal Church in Sharon also on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Adam T. Trambley officiating. with interment at Brookfield twp. Cemetery, Brookfield twp., OH.
