David L. Root

David L. Root, of Sharon, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wed., March 1st, 2017 at 5:42 p.m. in the emergency room of Sharon after becoming ill. He was 69.
David was born in Sharon, PA on April 14, 1947, the son of the late Russell and Ruth (McAllister) Root.
He had worked at at the former National Castings for several years. David enjoyed playing bingo and was well-known throughout the valley for always helping people and donating his time to help others.
He is survived by his sisters, Marjorie Munnal of Sharon, PA., Gloria Hummell of Hermitage, PA., Joyce Garvey and her husband James, of Mecca, OH., Shirley Christiansen of Brookfield, OH., Norma Root of Sharon, PA, and his brothers, Russell T. "Tom" Root of Sharon, PA, Robert Root of Brookfield, OH, and Edward Root and his wife, Lucy, of Vienna, OH. He is also survived by his faithful dog "Coco". Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Evans and his brothers, James M. Root Sr., Richard D. Root Sr. and Gerald Root.
At his request there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation services provided by the funeral home.
Internment at Haywood Cemetery in West Middlesex at a later date.
