David L. Ochs

David L. Ochs, age 82, of Farrell, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Quality Life Services, New Castle, PA, with his loving wife by his side.

Born September 30, 1942 in Lucinda, PA, he was the son of the late Albinus Sr. "Sunny" and Winifred (Schmader) Ochs. He married the former Christine Baldwin on June 15, 1997, and she survives in Farrell, PA.

David graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Lucida, PA, and also attended Akron Business School. He served his country honorably in the U S Army and worked as an assistant lumber manager for ITL in Tionesta, PA, before retiring in 2006.

David loved doing wood working, he was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife Christine, he is survived by a daughter Leta M. Swartz, of Wintergarden, FL, 8 sons, David W. Ochs, of Oakridge, TN, Greg W, Ochs Sr. of Rittman, OH, Lyndon J. Ramsey, of Harmony, PA, Landon Ramsey, of Beaver, PA, Lance Ramsey, of Apex, NC, Louis Ramsey, of Beaver, PA, Leonard Ramsey, of Rimersburg, PA, and Loyal Ramsey, of Clarion, PA, two brothers, Albinus Ochs Jr., of Thurmond, MD, and Michael Ochs, of Muncy, PA, twenty-nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death a daughter Laurel Morisaki, two sons, Larry and Lyle Ramsey, a brother Nelson Ochs and three sisters, Suz Griebel, Joan McCloskey and Elsie Schwaubenauer.

Private visitation followed by a funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd. Farrell, PA, 16121.
