Daniel R. Grundy

Daniel R.. Grundy, of Sharon, PA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Oct, 16, 2014 at 11:50 a.m.. He was 56.
Dan was born in Sharon, PA on March 30, 1958, the son of the late Ralph and Jane (Grimm) Grundy.
He was a 1976 graduate of Sharon High School. He had worked as a welder at Champion-Carrier (Miller Industries) Hermitage, PA., for 16 years
Dan was a member of the Farrell VFW, Post #5286, and the Slovak Home in Farrell. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening along with spending time with his family. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He was the widower of Barbara J. (Poppleton) Grundy. whom he married on December 8, 1979. She died Oct .30, 2008. He is survived by his two daughters, Patty Kamel and her husband, Gabriel and their son Aiden Kamel, of Freedom, PA , and Bethany Norris, and her husband, Christopher, of Erie, PA., his two sisters, Renee Franek and her husband, Michael, of Sharpsville, PA, Barbara Van Til and her husband, Seth, of Grove City, PA, and his brother, Wayne Grundy, of Maple Heights, OH. and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Pat Hideg, of West Middlesex, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jayne Weyer.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20th, with Pastor Chris D. Wright of Faithon68, Rochester, PA officiating. Interment at Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
