Daniel A. Buzzeo

Mr. Daniel A. Buzzeo, of John XXII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Frwy. Hermitage, PA, formerly of Riverview Manor, 15 W. Connelly Blvd. Sharon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 at 7:45 a.m. in Sharon Regional Health System, after a brief illness. He was 91.
Dan was born in Farrell, PA on February 2, 1922, the son of the late Carlo and Michaeline (DePreta) Buzzeo. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. with the 42nd Rainbow Division earniing 2 Bronze Stars and the Victory Medal.
Dan had worked as an autobody repairman at the former Stupka Autobody in Sharon., retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the Italian Home and the V.F.W. Post 5286, both in Farrell and the Sharon American Legion Post 299. Dan enjoyed music and dancing.
He is survived by his daughter, Tresa Shelton and her husband, Michael, of Colorado Springs, CO., two sons, Daniel C. Buzzeo of Sharon, PA.,and David Buzzeo of Houston, TX., a grandson, Gregory Shelton of Colorado Springs, CO, along with two brothers, Michael and Patrick Buzzeo, both of Hermitage, PA. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by two brothers, Joseph and William Buzzeo, and sisters, Ann Fannone , Mary Varricchio, and an infant sister.
At his request there will be no calling hours. Memorial Service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St, Sharon, PA, 16146 at 10:30a.m. on Monday, August 19th, 2013 with Rev. Donald Berdis of Our Lady of Fatima-St Ann's Church. officiating. Interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
