Clara E. Redick

Clara E. Redick, of 959 E. State St. Sharon, formerly of N. Oakland Ave., Sharon, passed away peacefully on Wed., Jan 9, 2013 at 1:15 am in Clepper Manor, Sharon, after an extended illness. She was 88..
She was born in Sharon, PA on March 17, 1924, the daughter of the late George and Viola (Harshman) Burns. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Sharon . Clara had worked in the office at former Montgomery Ward Stores in the area., for 38 years. After retiring she had worked at the former WilMar Beauty School in Sharon and she had also worked as an telephone operator at United Telephone in Warren, OH.
Clara enjoyed traveling and had been a member of the AARP Chapter 3616 of Hermitage, and the Connelly Manor Social Club. She also enjoyed attending functions at the Shenango Valley Senior Center.
She was the widow of Harry E. Redick. He died on Sept. 26, 1995. Her survivors include her son, Charles "Chuck" Redick and his wife, Sandi, of Indio, CA., her daughter-in-law, Rita Redick, of Hermitage, PA, her sister, Marie Johnson, of Sharon, PA , and a special cousin, Gerri Anderson, of Sharpsville, PA She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death by her daughter, Alma "Bunny" Hamill, her son, Marvin "Rusty" Redick and her three brothers, Frank and James Burns, and Harold Dunlap.
