Cheryl Ann Cozad

Cheryl Ann Cozad, age 75, formerly of Franklin, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side.

Born August 2, 1948, in Greenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Lillian (Cooper) Bennett.

Cheryl was a graduate of Sharpsville High School, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Clarion State College and her Master's in Education from Slippery Rock University.

She was a second-grade teacher for the Rocky Grove School District for over 30 years until her retirement in 2001.

Cheryl enjoyed golfing, traveling but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandkids.

She is survived by a son, Shawn Bennett Cozad, of Boardman, OH, five grandchildren, Ethan, Abigail, Emily, Alexander and Emmitt Cozad and her friend of over 50 years, Virginia Brooks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Bennett.

A gathering time will be held on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM from the funeral home with Rev. Rick Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
