Catherine Richards, age 92, of Hermitage, Pa., passed away on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 in Sharon Regional Hospital. Born September 19, 1925 in Sharon Pa., she was the daughter of the late Emrys and May Lewis Richards.
Catherine was a 1943 graduate of Farrell High School and a 1947 graduate of  Allegheny College in Meadville Pa.. She went on to work for Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. as the Chief MedicalTechnoligist for 28 years until her retirement in 1999. Catherine was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, the Episcopal Church Women, the College Club of Sharon and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by one cousin Jane O'Shane of New Wilmington, Pa. and multiple second and third cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. John's Episcopal Church, 226 W. State Street, Sharon Pa. 16146. A funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am from the church with  Fr. Adam Trambley officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,  memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 396 Buhl Boulevard, Sharon, Pa. 16146 or St. John's Episcopal Church, 226 W. State Street, Sharon, Pa. 16146.
