Carol J. Gera

Carol J. Gera, age 82, of Sharon, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side.

Born April 11, 1942, in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Hilda (Widmann) Miller. She married Charles Gera on April 7, 1960 and he preceded her in death on September 26, 2017.

Carol worked as a baker and an assistant in the bakery at Giant Gagle.

She liked knitting, reading, crocheting, water skiing and used to bowl at both Thorton Lanes and the Saxon Home. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Sharon, Pa.

Carol is survived by a daughter Teresa (Robert) Sennett, of Masury, OH, two sons Charles (Monica) Gera, of Sharon, PA, and Timothy (Sherry) Gera, of Warren, OH, a brother William Miller, of Connellsville, PA, sixteen grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons Anthony and Richard Gera and one great-grandchild.

A blessing service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of St. Rose Cemetery, with Fr. John Miller officiating. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
