Carol Lynn DelFratte, of Sharpsville, PA, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System . She was 57.
Carol was born in Sharon, PA on June 3, 1958, the daughter of the late Rocco A. and Teresa "Tessie" (Iorio) DelFratte who survives her of Erie, PA..
She was a 1977 graduate of Sharpsville High School where she lettered for 4 years on the girl's basketball team and was starting point guard for the 1973-74 State Finalist's teams. She went on to play on the Penn State Shenango girl's basketball team. After high school, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and Elementary Education at Penn State and then earned a Master's Degree in Education from Youngstown State University. Carol had worked as an elementary school teacher for the Jackson-Milton School District in Ohio.
Besides her mother "Tessie", she is survived by her brother, Thomas A. DelFratte and his wife, Kathryn, of Erie , PA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father.

There are no calling hours. Private funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA , with Rev. Matthew J. Strickenberger of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church of Sharpsville officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
