Carl "Moe" Marcus, Thornton Ave. Sharon, PA passed away on Wed, Jan. 2, 2013, at 7:10 a.m. at O'brien Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, OH after an extended illness. He was 92.
Mr. Marcus was born in Sharon, PA on June 23, 1920. He attended Sharon Schools growing up. and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy as a Gunners mate, 3rd Class. during WWII. He was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart Sharon, PA.
He had worked as a tow motor driver at former Westinghouse Electric ,Sharon Transformer Division.,for many years
Carl enjoyed bowling, playing golf and was a member of the Shenango Valley VFW, Post 1338 and of the Sharon Carpo-Russ Club. He loved animals.
He was the husband of Ida R. (Astone) Marcus. whom he married on July 27, 1946. She survives at home. Also surviving are his two daughters, Darlene Turnbaugh and her husband Gene, of Hermitage, PA.
Patricia Boldish of West Middlesex, PA.along with his grandchildren, Kerry Boldish, Krstal Boldish Miller, Stacie Marcus, Gene Marcus, and Justin Turnbaugh, along with 5 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by his sister, Mary Marcus, and his two brothers, John and Samuel Marcus.

Friends are invited to call Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home.,264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service at Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, PA. at 11:00a.m. on Monday, January 7th, with Rev. Henry Andrae officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
