Betty Jane Davis, 89, of 563 Brookfield Ave..SE Masury, OH, formerly of Fruit Ave., Farrell, PA, passed away peacefully at 9:15p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, at Obrien Memorial Health Care Center in Masury, OH after an extended illness.
Betty was born in Sharon, PA on March 1, 1923, the daughter of the late Gerald and Jennie V. (Davis) Songer. She was a graduate of Sharon High School and the former Christian H. Buhl School of Nursing.
She had worked as a registered nurse at area hospitals, and at the former Mahoning Valley Vocational School in Youngstown, Ohio in her younger years. Betty enjoyed watching TV, a good dessert, and spending time with the family. She was of the Protestant faith..
Her survivors include a few cousins including her caregivers, Jim Stevenson, of Hermitage, PA, Patty Norris, of Sharon, PA and a good friend, Bill Passerrello, of Hermitage, PA
Her family would like the thank all the staff at O'Brien Memorial Health Center and Dr. David D'Amore for the excellent, compassionate care they gave to Betty over the last few years.
