Bernice Elaine Trout, of 129 Reno Road, (Jefferson twp.) Hermitage, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 11:58 p.m., in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, in Youngstown, OH after becoming ill at home. She was 80.
Bernice was born in Stoney Creek twp., PA on July 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Harry W. and Elsie (Fritz) Kimmel. She was a 1950 graduate of Shanksville-Stoney Creek High School.
Bernice was an active member of Charleston United Methodist Church in Hermitage, PA. She had worked at the Data Center at of 1st National Bank in Hermitage, PA, for several years retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Mercer Chapter #180. Bernice enjoyed being outside gardening and digging in the dirt, reading, cooking, and trying new recipes.
She was the wife of Donald W. Trout. whom she married on November 4, 1951, he survives at home. She is also survived by two daughters, Linda Kelecy and her husband Richard, of Valrico, FL, and Nancy Gassner of Mercer, PA. along with her grandchildren, Jonathan and Amanda Kelecy, Ryan Gassner and his fiance' Erica Balluch, and Sara Gassner . A sister-in-law, Wilma Kimmel of Friedens, Pa, four nieces and two nephews also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris J. Kimmel and her brother, Harold D. Kimmel.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m., at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146 ,with a service by the O.E.S , Mercer Chapter 180, at 6:45 p.m.
Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, May 9th, with Rev. William J. Locke officiating.
Interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Jefferson twp., PA.
