Bellen J. "Bill""Sarge" Peretic, , of 500 Clarksville Rd. Hermitage, formerly of Andrew St., Sharon, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb., 20, 2015 at 6:04 p.m. in Nugent Convalescent Home in Hermitage after an extended illness. He was 87.
Mr. Peretic was born in Farrell, PA on September 28, 1927, the son of the late John and Mary (Makovic) Peretic. He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, Amalia and Marco Ruzich. Bellen was a graduate of Hickory H.S. and was a U.S. Army Veteran serviving during WWII. He had worked at at Cyclops, Sawhill Tubular Division in Wheatland, PA., for over 30 years.
Bill was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and was a former member of the Carpo-Russ Club of Sharon, was a member of the United Steelworkers of America, and the Salvation Army Seniors group. He was a committed family man who always referred to himself as "the head of the household ." and was very proud of his Croation heritage. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was the widower of Rose (Yuschak) Peretic. She died on December 11, 1996. Bill is survived by his two daughters, Mary Peretic of Sharon, PA and Roseann Toth, and her husband, Perry, of Austintown, OH.
his three sons, David Peretic and his wife, Laura, and John Peretic , and his wife Johnna, all of Masury, OH, and Michael Peretic and his wife, Patti of Sharpsville, PA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Beides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Perry, and an infant brother, Wilbur Peretic.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25th, with Rev. Henry Andrae of Sacred Heart Church in Sharon officiating. Military Honors presented at the funeral home by West Middlesex VFW Post #6233, Farrell VFW, Post #7597, Wheatland American Legion Post #432 Honor Guard. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
