Barbara Ann Blair Douds, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014, iat 6:08 p.m. in her home after an extended illness. She was 84.
Barbara was born in Sharon, PA on December 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Cecil B. and Eva (Bartholomew) Blair. She was a graduate of Sharon High School & later earned an Associates Degree at Penn State Shenango Valley Campus through their Go 60 Program.. She 50 plus year member of Covenant Presbyterian Church Sharon, PA.
Barbara was a Red Cross Volunteer, a member of her high school re-union committee and she organized the West Hill school re-unions. She was a civic minded person having worked with the "Save The Westinghouse Park" campaign and she had attended many city meetings as Hermitage developed. Barbara enjoyed going on cultural trips with Penn State students and faculty.
She was the widow of Robert S. Douds Sr.. who died on May 13, 1994. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara S. Houghton and her husband, Robert, of Chapel Hill, NC, her 5 sons, Robert S. Douds Jr. and Shirley, of Sewicley, PA, David B. Douds and Sherry, of San Diego, CA., John L. Douds of Seffner, FL., James P. Douds and his wife, Cynthia L. Davis, of Sharon, PA., Joseph B. Douds and his wife, Devi, of Grove City, PA. along with 7 grandchildren, Dianna, Danielle, and Graham Douds, Elizabeth and Grant Houghton, Samuel and Aaron Douds, and 2 great-grandchildren, Ella and Hugo Rodriges. Also surviving are her sister, Gloria Tomko of Sharon, PA and her brother, James Blair and his wife, Virginia, Of Greenville, PA. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John, Gene, Raymond and June Blair, Wilda Bresnahan, Lois Rowe, and Phyllis Lynch.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers for the wonderful care she received during her illness.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18th, with Rev. Dr. Terry Mann officiating.
