Audrey G. Whetsel

Audrey G. Whetsel, age 88, of Farrell, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Garden Way Place.

She was born January 26, 1936, in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late William and Ruby (Shelkey) Chalfant.

She married Robert W. Whetsel on July 7, 1954 and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2016.

Audrey was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a former member of the HIS Hermitage Gospel Ministries and a member of the Central Christian Church.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Whetsel, of Wilmington, NC, Ron Whetsel, of Longs, South Carolina and Richard Whetsel, of Nashville, TN, a brother, William Chalfant, of Hermitage, PA, six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA. 16146. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home, with Rev. Lew Voisey officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Audrey was a life long Pittsburgh sports fan and the family requests that everyone consider wearing Steelers, Penguins or Pirates garb.
