Anthony J. Marcello, age 77, of 3999 Seneca Road, (S. Pymatuning twp.) Sharpsville, PA passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 in Sharon Regional Health System after a year long battle with leukemia.
Mr. Marcello was born in Sharon, PA on December 6, 1934, the son of the late Vincenzo and Nellie (Valentino) Marcello.
Anthony was a 1952 graduate of Sharon High School where he had served as class president.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Catholic Church Farrell, PA.
Being a meat cutter/manager for many years, he had owned various area grocery and meat markets through out the Shenango and Mahoning Valleys including Thrif-T Meat Market in Youngstown, OH, Center City Market in Sharon. He enjoyed doing yardwork, landscaping , golfing and most of all being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was the widower of MaryAnn (DeCarmen) Marcello, whom he married on April 16, 1955. She died earlier this month on August 14, 2012.
His survivors include his two daughters, Cynthia Chavara of Hermitage,PA. and Denise Rubano of Niles,OH and his son; Anthony V. Marcello and his wife, Cynthia R. Marcello of Hubbard, OH.and seven grandchildren, Anthony J. Marcello and his wife, Pam, Shawn V. Marcello and his wife, Amanda, Heather L. Marcello and her fiance', Luke Silvis, Danielle Silvis and her husband, Eric; Allison Miller, and Jenna and Marissa Latcheran and four great-grandchildren. Also survivng are his sister, Mary Lou Marcello of Sharon, PA, a brother-n-law, Pat DeCarmen and his wife, Mary, of Sharpsville, PA, a brother-in-law, Nick DeCarmen and his wife, Betty, of South Boston, VA along with two sister-in-laws, Ruth Marcello, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Marcy DeCarmen of Farrell, PA and several loving nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceeded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Vincent Marcello, and his son-in-law, Daniel Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima-St.Ann's Catholic Church, Farrell, PA. at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5th,2012, with Rev. Donald Berdis officiating.
Interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
