Annie Reese Mcmillan
Annie Reese McIntyre McMillan, age 90, of Sharon PA, passed away the evening of November 12
th
, 2018 in Clepper Manor. Born July 22, 1928 in Fairmont, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Amy Bethae McIntyre. She married William Mc Millan and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Annie worked for many years in Nugent's Nursing home as a CNA and spent eleven years working for John XXIII nursing home before retirement.
Annie was a member of the Ruth AME Zion Church for many years, where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and doing missionary work. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Deborah Grand Chapter and Daughter ISIS as well as the Golden Circle (Yokettes). She also enjoyed scrapbooking and cooking.
Annie is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Hosey and her husband James and Annie Gail Brown all of Sharon, PA, 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Clethus Jones, James Robert Jones and William Michael McMillan, a sister, Irene Ford-Smith and two Brothers, Joseph and Jasper McIntyre.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17
th
, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Ruth AME Zion Church, 95 W. Connelly Blvd, Sharon, Pa. 16146, with the Rev. Marion Wheeler officiating. Visitation for family and friends will start at 10:00 am at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family through the funeral home.
