Annette N. Thomas, age 98, of St. Paul's Homes, Greenville, PA, formerly of West Middlesex, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and the caring staff at St. Paul's on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 11:25 a.m.
Born in Loraine, OH, on July 23, 1917, Annette was the daughter of the late George and Maude Suttle Wylam. Annette married Clarence V. Thomas on October 14, 1934 and they enjoyed 69 years together until he preceded her in death on August 27, 2003. They owned and operated the former Holiday Inn(now Quality Inn) in Hermitage, for many years. Annette was one of the first women in the United States to own a Holiday Inn. Annette and Clarence enjoyed traveling the world together. She is survived by her two daughters, Annette Wingerter and her husband John, of Hermitage, PA and Marilyn Valiga and her husband David, of West Middlesex, PA, six grandchildren, Tamara, Lee, John, Bonny, Tony, and Danielle, eight great- grandchildren, Samantha, Kyler, Ashlee, Dylan, Sydney, Alex, and Rowan, and one great-great- grandchild, Cameron. Also surviving are her two sisters, Virginia, of Friday Harbor, Washington, and Alma, of Florida. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgia Thomas.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA .
