Anna F Adams

Anna F. Adams, of Meadville PA, formerly of the Shenango Valley, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at 9:58 p.m., in Wesbury UM Care Center, Meadville, after an extended illness. She was 96.
Anna was born in Wheatland, PA on April 21, 1919, the daughter of the late Mary Shanku. She was a 1937 graduate of Farrell High School.
She had worked as a waitress at the former Jerry Chic' s Eagle Grille in Farrell & Hermitage, PA., for several years. Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Orthodox faith.
She was the widow of William Lloyd Adams. whom she married on September 29, 1941. He died on February 22, 1973. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Hanahan, and her husband, David, of Meadville, PA, a son, William Adams and his wife, Lynn, of Brunswick, OH, her grandsons, Thomas Hanahan and his fiance', April, and William Hanahan and his fiance', Tabitha Nesbitt, three great-grandchildren, along with two sisters, Betty "Veta" Czap of Fayetteville, GA., Valeria Frem of McDonough, GA.. Besides her mother and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Bartholemew, Sylvia Karovokiros, Emma Narsisian, and Lillian Greene, and two brothers, Michael and John, Protopea.

Private funeral services on Tuesday at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. with Rev. Gabriel Agoston, of Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, Youngstown, OH officiating. Interment at America's Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
